Digital Exam and Assessment Project (DEAP)

We are happy to announce that we have selected a system for the Digital Examination and Assessment Project (DEAP) and the solution will be made available to our colleagues very soon. As you know the project aims to run as a pilot to explore the software, hardware, people and infrastructure factors required to deliver online and electronically managed exams at scale. Please get in touch with us if you require further information. Read more

E-Learning Production Scheme – posts available now

Are any of your students interested in working with a member of staff in using technology to enhance teaching and learning and would they be able to commit 100 hours of effort between February and June 2019? These paid jobs are available to QMUL students – please forward this link to your students.

Staff changes within the E-Learning Unit

There have been some changes in staff in the E-Learning Unit recently. Stella Ekebuisi is back as our Head of E-Learning Unit and Alysa Bramble is back as E-Learning Applications Manager, a job she shares with Rose Heaney. Unfortunately, Anisa Patel has left us to take up a new position at UCL and we wish her all the best. Finally, we will also be joined by Reuban Upstone who will be working on the Digital Exams and Assessment Processes project for 6 months. Reuban has been working in the School of Business and Management so may be new to the E-Learning Unit but not to QMUL.

To attend, please book a place via Eventbrite

 Calling all Q-Review Champions!

Echo360, the system behind the lecture capture service here at QMUL, are delighted to announce the launch of a new initiative to assist and support active practitioners with embedding the use of Q-Review across the university. They invite you to consider joining a small group of your peers as the recipient of one of our 2019 Echo360 Champion Grants. Read more here

What are our users asking via The Helpdesk?

Common issues on the Helpdesk in November included questions about Turnitin assignment settings, enrolling colleagues on to QMplus module areas and how students view their grades and feedback on QMplus. You can find out the answers to these questions in our common support questions article.
