Mile End Recording Booth

19 May 2022 Posted in: Announcements, News By: Simon Durrant

We are currently upgrading the Mile End Video booth. This is to replace the old technology and to make the booth much easier to use. The new equipment will be installed over the next few weeks and will be followed by a testing phase. We are planning to have the booth operational again by the end of June so it can be back in use for July onwards.

The booth will initially provide three pre-set layouts where the presenter appears in front of their presentation. These are the presenter on the right-hand side of the screen, the left-hand side of the screen, or in the middle. During the recording, you can also switch between the layouts if you wish to do so.

Video Booth Control Panel

Once you have opened your presentation on the PC then should only need to press two or three buttons to start recording. You’ll be able to see what’s being recorded on a screen next to the camera so you can practice before hitting the record button. Once you’ve finished recording you’ll be able to copy the finished video to either QMplus Media, your OneDrive, or a USB memory key or hard drive.

We’ll provide an update and how to book the booth and how to use it nearer to the reopening date. In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding either of the video booths please e-mail the TELT team with the subject "Video Booth" and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
