On Tuesday the 14th and 28th April, between 7am-11am, there will be a release applied to QMplus. These releases will fix some issues and add some new functionality.
Here are some of the items that teachers can expect with this release:
RELEASE UPDATES:
- A SITS Marks Transfer option.
This feature will allow administrators to enter grades in QMplus and easily be able to import the marks into SITS. More information > - Custom Student Enrolment Mapping details in QMplus (version 1)
It is possible to enrol more than one module or programme from SITS on to a QMplus course area – and this is set up by the 2nd line support team. However, it is not always known by teaching staff which courses have been set up to enrol onto the QMplus course area. This item of work will surface these custom enrolment details into QMplus, so that teachers and course administrators will know which students are being enrolled on to their QMplus course areas. - Surface Student ID – to be displayed in grades and enrolment areas
- QMplus login links (users will be directed to login via Shibboleth when they click on the ‘login’ links). Manual/Non-standard accounts will be given a separate link.
- Improvement to bulk uploads of users and groups (released to administrators, now rolled out to teachers)
- Other role changes, including: course administrators will no longer receive automatic emails from all of their courses (e.g. emails from quizzes and forums); non-editing teachers will be able to turn editing on, course administrators will be able to do a rollover.
- Modification to ‘Home’ button – If a user has selected a school landing page as their home page in their profile then the link ‘Home’ will resolve to the home page selected rather than the QMplus home page.
Known Issue of the release: The ‘Home’ button will give some users an error message – if they do not have a school Landing page set up in their QMplus profile and they click on the ‘Home’ button they will get an error page. Clicking on the ‘Continue’ button will then take them to the QMplus generic homepage. We are working on fixing this issue.

- QMplus Groups & Porttfolios – Clean URLs – On the 28th April there will be an enhancement to Mahara – : This is an option to enable alternative clean URLs for user profiles, group homepages, and portfolio pages owned by users and groups. URLs will be chosen by their owners, will uniquely identify a page, and will be used in internally generated links in preference to the old-style links using integer id parameters.
