Applications for this post are now closed.

The E-Learning Unit (ELU) is seeking to appoint a Learning Technology Officer to cover the maternity leave of a member of the current team. The salary will be in the range  £34,220 – £40,194 (Grade 4).

The E-Learning Unit provides strategic direction for e-learning at QMUL and works to promote, support and develop technology-enhanced learning across the institution.  It is responsible for institution-wide e-learning applications such as the online learning environment, QMplus (based on Moodle and Mahara), Q-Review lecture capture (based on Echo360) and Turnitin for plagiarism detection.

Closing date for applications is 8th December 2019. Interviews will be held before the 20th December.

The Learning Technology Officer post spans both educational and developmental support for staff and students using learning technologies. It would suit a dynamic individual with advanced IT skills, a problem-solving nature, enthusiastic presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The post requires a keen interest in education, knowledge of learning technology and experience in training or staff development, and would enable someone early in their career to play a crucial role in the development of e-learning in a higher education institution.

Informal enquiries should be addressed to our E-Learning Applications Managers – Alysa Bramble (a.bramble@qmul.ac.uk) or Rose Heaney (r.heaney@qmul.ac.uk).
