16 December 2014 Posted in: Articles Tagged: By: Rume Begum

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the past two months.

Question  1: Can I download PCAP (Personal Capture) on my managed desktop?

Answer 1: Yes it can be downloaded but you will not be able to do it yourself. You will need to raise a ticket with Help Desk who will pass the ticket to the team that can install the software for you.

Question 2: I get the error message ‘Your username and/or password is incorrect’ when I login to Q-Review. What do I do?

Answer 2: There are two reasons why your username and password may not be recognised. It could be that there is no account associated with your details or you have a student role assigned to your account. You will need to raise a ticket with Help Desk who will check the account and make the necessary amendments.

Question 4: I want to create an area which can be used to share information with students and staff within my school. Is this possible?

Answer 4: Yes, you have two options. You can create a landing page which will sit on top of all the courses and all users can be directed to this page when they login. You will need to raise a Help Desk ticket for this option.

Alternatively, you can create a course area with all the information. You will need to ask the super admin in your school to create this for you.

Question 5: I could not submit my assignment as it would not upload. What should I do?

Answer 5: You will need to inform your course admin regarding the issue and email them a copy of your assignment. Also, raise a ticket with a link to the course area and assignment. We would also advise that you take a screen shot of the page to show us the error message or where you cannot upload the assignment.
