Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on The Helpdesk during the past month.

Question 1: I would like to make some of my lecture recordings unavailable and release them at a later time. Is this possible?

Answer 1: Yes, as an instructor of the recordings you can choose when to make your recordings available/unavailable for students to view on your QMplus course. To do this, follow the steps in the guide here.

Question 2: Some of my students’ assignments have not generated an originality report through Turnitin and they are presented with an error message. What should I do?

Answer 2: You will need to raise a ticket with the E-Learning team so that we can take a look at the issue. Remember to include the following information:

  • name of the course
  • name of the student/s affected
  • name and link to the assignment

Question 3: The Gradesplus histograms are no longer available for my students. Can you help?

Answer 3: The School Administrator may have disabled this, so we would advise that you contact them as they have the permissions to enable it for the School. Their contact details can be found here.

Question 4: Some of my students cannot access the their lecture recordings although they have been enrolled on my course. What can I do to resolve this?

Answer 4: You will need to check the role they have been assigned on your course. If they have been assigned the student role then ensure the Q-Review link is visible on your course. Also, ensure you have made the recordings available to your students.

If those who are enrolled on the QMplus course have been assigned the viewer role, the Q-Review external tool’s permissions will need to be updated so that viewers can access the recordings. You will need to contact your School Administrator who can carry this out for you.
