Commonly Asked Support Questions

30 August 2018 Posted in: Articles Tagged: By: Rume Begum

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the last month.

Question 1: Can I assume my q-review lecture recordings will continue to work on my rolled over course? Do I need to do anything?

Answer 1: Yes, for the recordings to appear on your course area you will first need to unlink the recordings from the last year section. You will then to need to link the course to this year’s section, 2018/19. If you require any assistance, please raise a ticket via HelpDesk.

Question 2: My students have been un-enrolled from their course, how can they still access their course materials?

Answer 2: Students will be automatically un-enrolled from their course on SITS once teaching has ended and this will be reflected on QMplus. However, students can access their course via the archive. If you receive such queries from students, you can send them this guide.

Question 3: My course appears to have a lot of extra unwanted sections and I was wondering if there is a quick way to remove these sections.

Answer 3: The sections can be removed manually, but you will need to delete them one by one. We aim to fix the issue as part of the September release which will take place on Tuesday 4th September. So, we would advise you wait until the release so that we can have this issue fixed for all courses.

Question 4: If I rollover my course, can I find a copy of my student assignments in the archive?

Answer 4: E-Learning Unit cannot guarantee that a copy of the assignment can be found in the archive and we advise all School administrators to download the assignments and keep a copy of them before the rollover is scheduled. E-Learning Unit will not take any liability for lost assignments.

Question 5: Do you have a list of the issues that will be fixed in the September release?

Answer 5: Yes, we do. Please visit the link here to find out more information.
