Commonly Asked Support Questions (June-July 2017)

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the past two months.

Question 1: Can I request for stand-alone access to TurnitinUK?

Question 2: Does the E-Learning Unit offer access to Survey tools?

Answer 2: Yes, we pay a College-wide licence for the Bristol Online Survey (BOS) software, which any member of QM is welcome to use. This is an online accessible software tool, which allows you to create, share, deliver and analyse surveys. Developed by the University of Bristol, it is widely used by universities and other organisations. If you would like an account created on BOS please visit our website.

Question 3: How do i enable guest access on my course?

Answer 3: To enable guest access on your course, it will need to be enabled via the course enrolment methods in the Settings block. Once enabled, content can be viewed by users who are not enrolled on the course area in QMplus, as well as by the general public browsing the internet, including via Google searches. For more information please visit our guide.

Question 5: How do I make my videos publicly available?

Answer 5: You can any videos in your ‘My Media’ publicly available by changing the access control settings to ‘Public’. For a step-by-step guide on how to do this please visit our guide.
