Let’s Meet … Chelsea Zhang-Anegbeh (SEMS)

23 March 2022 Posted in: Articles, News Tagged: By: Annette Nembhard

Hello!

My name is Chelsea Zhang-Anegbeh and I am the Joint Education Institute Administrator in the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS). I have been supporting the effective use of QMplus for colleagues and students in both the UK and China since 2017. In addition to eLearning training and support with my UK-based colleagues, I also facilitate eLearning innovation and training through the International Centre for Teaching and Learning at Northwestern Polytechnical University in China.

One of the achievements I am most proud of is managing the transition to online learning across two countries and cultures during the pandemic. Though the learning curve was steep, I am now able to employ my knowledge of Chinese and UK cultural understandings and pedagogies to support students and staff continue to teach and learn online.

Projects I am currently working

I am currently working to improve QMplus use in SEMS (Queen Mary Engineering School) to better facilitate feedback to and from students. The aim of this project is to help students locate feedback as well as support colleagues to provide quality, regular and frequent feedback to our students.

What I enjoy doing

I love crafting! Be it knitting, felting, making miniatures, or modifying furniture. With a previous career in video game development I am also an avid gamer and am currently playing Animal Crossing, Grand Theft Auto and Unchartered among many other games across multiple consoles.
