The Brickfield Toolkit is integrated into QMplus and provides an overview of elements of your course content, and how accessible it is. These  bespoke sessions for QMUL will be delivered by the provider as part of the launch of the product. Below is a brief summary of the session from the provider:

To create truly inclusive courses and teaching practices, we need to avoid creating the barriers, remove the ones that are there and adopt the practice of accessibility – putting people and their needs first. However, without understanding what the barriers can be this is a tall ask. This session will look at some of the common barriers that get created in online content, how to avoid building them and how to fix them.

Please do attend these bespoke sessions and recommend to collogues. Please note QMUL Staff can also book onto regular webinars on the toolkit and different areas of accessibility,  or request access to a series of self-directed courses exploring different areas of accessibility. More information can be found on our QMplus site Brickfield Accessibility guidance for staff.

If you are timetabled to teach in any of the rooms listed, please book into the relevant session. You will be shown the changes that have been implemented, how to teach in Mixed Mode Education more easily, and how to use the digital whiteboard and how this can benefit teaching and learning.
