Using the new bookmarks and to-do list features on QMplus

1 November 2017 Posted in: Articles Tagged: By: Alysa Bramble

Bookmarks and to-do lists are features which were added to QMplus over the summer. They provide a very effective way of keeping track of links and resources across QMplus.

You might use these features to:

  • bookmark a discussion forum with a reminder to read student contributions by a certain date
  • bookmark an assignment with a reminder to do marking or follow up with feedback

QMplus bookmarking and activity to do lists

Items in QMplus can be bookmarked by clicking the ribbon icon to the left. They will added to your to-do list. You can access your to-do list via the icon in the QMplus header. Here you can organise your bookmarks and add notes and due dates.

Enabling the to-do list widget will allow you to see bookmarks displayed on your My QMplus Dashboardbookmarks in to do list on dashboard

Students can also use bookmarks and to-do lists to organise resources that are key to their academic activities including:

  • bookmarking materials linked to their assignment coursework so they can go to them quickly
  • writing a note and setting a reminder on bookmarks for actioning on a set date
