Granting an extension to students

Alternatively, you can grant an extension to a number of students at once. You will need to give the same extension date for these students.

  1. Locate and click on the assignment title.
  2. Click on the ‘View/Grade all submissions button’ – this takes you to the assignment grading table
  3. Next, click the selection boxes in front of all of the students you would like to give an extension
  4. Scroll down and under ‘With selected’ select ‘Grant extension’¬†from the drop down menu
  5. From the next page, tick the ‘Enable’ button and choose an extension date

Is the extension information recorded in the Gradebook?

Granting an extension allows students to submit after the assignment due date without being marked as late. This information is not recorded in the QMplus gradebook. The gradebook just stores grades and limited feedback. Information about extensions is only accessible via the grading table for an assignment.
