How do I bulk enrol users onto a QMplus course area?
Note: This guide is relevant until mid-August 2022. Guidance relevant to the new QMplus theme will then be available here
Only QMplus administrators can bulk enrol users onto QMplus course areas. See detailed guidance here on how to do this.
This guide is aimed at teachers who can raise a ticket with the IT Services Helpdesk with the necessary information to request users to be bulk uploaded into the QMplus course area (or bulk uploaded into groups).
This guide covers:
- Enrolling users to a QMplus course area by creating & uploading a CSV file.
You will need to be an enrolled teacher on the QMplus course area in order for this request to be authorised.
TIP: If you would like to enrol only a handful of users onto your course area, teachers can do this manually by following the information in this guide, without needing to raise a ticket with the IT Helpdesk.
Step 1: You should gather the following information:
- The user’s username,
- First name,
- Last name,
- Email,
- The course short name (see instructions to locate this below)
- Role they require on the module (see possibilities below).
Step 2: Enter the information in the Blank bulk upload csv
Step 3: Select CSV (Comma Separated Value) as the format type and save the file.
Step 4: Attach the file to a current open ticket or raise a new ticket on the IT Helpdesk for a member of the Support team to action.
Course Short Name:
Please note: The course short name and role is required. You will also need to supply either the usernames or email addresses.
TIP: If you are unsure of the course short name, you can find it under the course area Settings section in QMplus.
Roles in QMplus:
Please find below a list of QMplus roles – you will need to enter the correct format on the spreadsheet. For a definition of QMplus roles, please see our guidance on QMplus roles.
