Need inspiration for your QMplus course area?

As you can imagine or maybe aware of, there’s a million ways to structure your learning content in QMplus and there’s essential information which needs to be made available too (listed in our Baseline Standards). To get some aspiration on how to make your QMplus area accessible and aesthetically pleasing, take a look at our exemplar QMplus course area.

UCISA – Media in Learning Conference

Our very own Clare Driver won a UCISA bursary to attend the Media in Learning conference which took place in Leuven, Belgium. The conference’s theme was ‘Video in H.E.’ with a broad range of technologies being covered. Clare shares her experience of the event in this article, here.

New! – Bulk Activity Creation feature

You asked for it, we’ve provided it…  …The ‘Bulk Activity Creation’ feature allows your Schools’ e-learning Super Admins the ability to add activities to multiple courses at once. Meaning configuring only 1 time and then populating it to all courses at the same time, before the name and dates, etc, are to be changed. Take a look at the guide here to find out more!

QMplus April Release

The QMplus April release will take place on Tuesday the 21st of April, between 7-9am. This release will include improvements to existing features, new extensions and some routine maintenance. Please take a look at the webpage to see what’s included.

Assessment Info Block/Tab for April Release

The internally developed Assessment Info block, which can now be displayed as a tab, is replacing the old Assessment Info tab (which was developed by a 3rd party) as part of the Summer Upgrade. As an interim measure in the April release, it will no longer be possible to create the old tab in a course for first time use. Anyone who requires an Assessment Info tab should follow the steps in this new guide. Over the next few weeks we will be notifying all school based learning technologists (or equivalent) of courses that are still using the old tab. Staff then have the option to manually convert their original tab to the Assessment Info block or wait for the Summer Upgrade when the old version of the tab will be automatically converted to the new one. If you have any questions, please email elearning@qmul.ac.uk.
