Here are the questions that were most commonly asked via The Helpdesk during the past month.

 

Question 1: My QMplus course area takes a long time to load. What can I do to improve this?

Answer 1:  If your course area takes a long time to load, you probably have a lot of content in the course area, which might also include a number of videos. A great way to improve performance is to create pages within QMplus that can be used to display: audio, video, images, text or embedded interactive content. These pages will load separately and will reduce the overall load time. For details on how to create pages in QMplus, please see our guide: Creating a page.

 

Question 2: A student is unable to upload their submission to QMplus. Can I submit the assignment on their behalf?

Answer 2:  Yes, it is possible for staff to submit an assignment on a student’s behalf by following the steps in this guide: How can I submit an assignment on a student’s behalf? If the due date has passed and you wish to apply an extension, you’ll need to do this before making the submission. Take a look at our guide on how to grant extensions in QMplus to find out how.

 

Question 3: How can I give someone access to my course?

Answer 3:  If you are an Administrator, Course Administrator or Teacher on a QMplus course area, you can enrol others onto your course area yourself. For details on how to do this, please see our guide that explains how you can give people access to you course.
