Commonly Asked Support Questions (April 2016)

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the April 2016.

Question 1: Is there a way to find out when Turnitin is down?

Answer 1: Yes, there are a multiple ways that you can stay up to date with Turnitin’s system status and they are:

Question 2: I am trying to enrol a new member of staff on my course but I cannot find their account on QMplus. Can you help?

Answer 2: Yes, as they are a new member of staff they will need to login to QMplus first so that their account is generated. Once they have logged in, you should be able to find their account and then enrol them onto your course.

However, if you are still unable to find their account then please raise a ticket with HelpDesk.

Question 3: My student accidentally submitted the wrong assignment and it has been processed by Turnitin. Can the assignment be deleted from the Turnitin repository?

Answer 3: Yes, the assignment can be deleted from the Turnitin repository. The support team can arrange for this to take place, so please raise a ticket with HelpDesk.

Question 4: Some of my students can access the lecture recordings while other students are experiencing problems although HelpDesk have made a change to the settings. Is there anything else I can suggest to them?

Answer 4: Yes, the students will need to ensure they have cleared their browser cache and then login to QMplus and access the recording again.

If they are still unable to access the recording, please ask the student to raise a ticket with HelpDesk with a screen shot of any error messages.

Question 5: My course is very slow loading. Is there anything I can do to improve the speed of the course?
