Commonly Asked Support Questions (January – February 2016)

26 February 2016 Posted in: Uncategorized Tagged: By: Rume Begum

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the last two months.

Question 1: I am unable to rollover my module, can you help?

Answer 1: Unfortunately, the rollover period has now passed and we can no longer schedule modules to be rolled over. However, we can provide a duplicate copy of your course which will exclude student enrolments and activities. This can be used as your new course.

If you have any further questions, then please raise a ticket with HelpDesk.

Question 2: The dashboard on my landing page keeps spinning and I’m unable to access it. Can you please fix it?

Answer 2:  This will be fixed as part of the QMplus March release. For now, please access your modules via the ‘My QMplus’ area.

You can view a list of all the other items planned to be resolved in the March release by clicking here.

Question 3: How do I set up the self enrolment method on my course?

Answer 3: We have a step to step guide on our website that demonstrates how this enrolment method can be set up, to view the guide click here.

If you require further assistance, then please raise a ticket with HelpDesk.

Question 4: I am unable to access Q-Review as my username/password is not recognised. Can you check that I have an account?

Answer 4: If you are a new member of staff an account will need to be created for you on Q-Review, so please request this by raising a ticket with HelpDesk.

Old members of staff typically have an account on Q-Review, however it is not always configured correctly therefore you are unable to login. If you experience login issues, please raise a ticket with HelpDesk and we will check to see if your account has been configured correctly and make the necessary changes to your account.

Question 5: Can I see a member of the ELU staff to discuss my query?

Answer 5: The E-Learning team hold two drop in sessions each week which take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2pm in the ELU studio based in Mile End. You can drop into the session which is suitable for you and a member of the ELU staff will be available to assist with your query.
