Tips – January

We hope that things have settled down now for you all now that Semester B is well under way. For those raising tickets with us, you may find the following tips helpful to fix urgent inquiries as quickly as possible:

  • For those new members of staff requiring access to course areas, please liaise with your Schools’ administrative staff in the first instance to arrange for the correct role to be provided. Tickets raised and directed to us in the E-Learning Unit will be resolved, but will need to be referred to these administrative staff to ensure the role and access to the courses are correct, so may take a little longer for access to be arranged.
  • For those staff or students not seeing their module appear as an option when logged into Q-Review, please ensure that one has clicked through the ‘Q-Review lecture recordings‘ link on the QMplus page. This link will detect what access they require (teacher, student or viewer) and that module’s recordings will then appear from then onwards.
  • For any staff whose lectures are being Q-Reviewed, but wish to change the format which the recording takes – such as switching from PC display, video & audio, to PC display and audio (removing the video of themself presenting) this can be done via the steps shown in this guide.
