Requesting a recording

For: Staff and StudentsApplication: Box of BroadcastsTagged: audio , multimedia , radio , tv , video

Box of Broadcasts (BoB) is a fantastic resource which provides access to recordings from a large number of free to air TV and radio channels. All staff and students at QMUL have access to BoB. Programmes on some channels are recorded and made available automatically, you do not need to request these. For other programmes, you can request the recordings.

You can do this either by using the BoB channel guide or the search function to find the programme you are looking for. If it is possible to request the recording, there will be a link you can click to request it. You will receive an email when the programme is ready for you and it will appear in the Requested tab of your MyBoB area. Generally speaking, it is possible to request recordings of programmes which were broadcast in the past 30 days, or will be broadcast in the coming 10 days.

This video provides more information on how to request a recording from BoB.
