The QMplus Phase 2 Project to complete the migration to QMplus for the five schools in Science and Engineering and the MBBS undergraduate medicine programme in the School of Medicine & Dentistry from Blackboard or their own bespoke systems took place throughout the spring and summer of 2013. All the schools are now using QMplus with this year’s students.
For more help and support, the Online Training Course is available for those who want to recap on something they learnt during the session or who have not been able to attend a session in person.
If you’re getting ready for the start of teaching, don’t forget to make your module areas visible to students by selecting Edit settings in the Settings block and choosing the correct option in the Availability section.
On Tuesday 10th September, and Tuesday 24th September, updates to the site took place, which made a number of new activity types and features available:
- Addition of Wimba Voice Tools – allowing users to create podcasts, voice discussion forums, voice emails and other audio content
- Enabling of Anonymous Forum Plugin – allowing those with editing rights on modules to choose whether they would like their forums to allow users to post anonymously
- New capability of displaying QMplus module pages within the School of Physics and Astronomy’s Smartphone App

- Turnitin assignment type
- Various theme enhancements, including icons for the new activity types
