Upcoming TELT Workshops and Sessions

TELT have workshops upcoming for:

1- Navigating the Gradebook

2- H5P (an Introduction)

3- H5P (Using Ai to create H5P Content in QMplus)

4- An Introduction to QMplus Enrolment Methods and Using QMplus Enrolment Mapping

1- Navigating the Gradebook (two parts)
Join us for an online session to learn more about the most-used menu items and functions of the Gradebook on QMplus. Discover tips to help you save time and get an overview of the key areas. This introductory session is open to all users with teacher or admin access to QMplus , but it will be particularly beneficial to those who need to work with the Gradebook as part of their role.

The session topics were chosen following input from teaching and administration colleagues across QMUL. Each session will focus on different topics, and you are welcome to book on both.

Part 1: 8th May 10:30AM-11:15AM

Exploring some of the gradebook menu items including grade history, single view, summary report, user report.
Altering grades in the gradebook.
How to set up automatic color-coding in the gradebook, highlighting scores in green when the pass mark is achieved and in red when not achieved.

Part 2: 16th May 2:30PM-3:15PM

Creating and using custom scales for a module area.
Searching and filtering the gradebook.
Bulk messaging students who did not submit or have done poorly.

2- Introduction to H5P

Join us for an introduction to using H5P in QMplus. If you’re new to H5P or have limited experience, this 45-minute session is designed for you.

During this session we’ll look at:

  • Exploring common H5P content types
  • Creating and editing basic H5P Interactive Content in QMplus
  • Embedding H5P content into other QMplus activities

3- H5P (Using Ai to create H5P Content in QMplus)

Join us for a 1 hour session where we will explore how you can use AI to create H5P quizzes and interactive summaries in QMplus.

If you are new to H5P we recommend you attend our Introduction to using H5P in QMplus session, if one is available. However, if you’re ready to dive into an introduction to using AI-generated H5P quizzes and interactive summaries, this workshop is perfect for you. During the session you will have the opportunity to create your own H5P content using AI. During this session we’ll look at:

  • Using ChatGPT and other Large Language Models (LLMs) to create quizzes and interactive summaries tailored for H5P.
  • Using the generated output to quickly create your H5P content.

It is being run on 9 May 2024 at between 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

4-An Introduction to QMplus Enrolment Methods and Using QMplus Enrolment Mapping

We have brand new sessions on QMplus enrolments. There are two additions running online. Join us for this 1 hour session where we will explore the most commonly used enrolment methods in QMplus, including QMplus Enrolment Mapping. This introductory session is open to all users with teacher or admin access to QMplus.

In this session we’ll look at:

  • The most frequently used enrolment method
  • How the common enrolment methods work
  • When you might choose to use a particular enrolment method
  • How enrolment mappings works
  • How enrolment mappings are created

Note that there will be an additional 15 minutes allocated at the end of the session for those who would like to stay for the Q&A.

The first is running  on 21-May-24 between 12:00PM-13:15PM

The second is running on 12-Jun-24 between 11:00PM-12:15PM
