Commonly Asked Support Questions

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the last month.

Question 1: My students did not receive a Turnitin report for their assignments. Can you help?

Answer 1: The Turnitin system did experience intermittent issues which delayed the originality reports for student assignments however the issues have now been resolved. If you are still experiencing the issue then please raise a ticket via the HelpDesk and provide us with the following information:

  • the name of the student affected
  • a link to the assignment

Question 2: The assignment deadline has passed, can I enable the Turnitin setting so I can see the originality score for my students assignment?

Answer 2: Although you can enable the Turnitin setting, you will not receive an originality score as the assignment has already been submitted. We strongly advise that you enable the setting when the assignment is being created so that an originality score is available for each student’s assignment.

Question 3: How can my students see their feedback for their assignments? 

Answer 3: There are a number of ways students can access their grades and feedback. Please refer to the guide here for more information.

Question 4: I am trying to add a member of staff to my course but I cannot find their account when I search for them. 

Answer 4: You will first need to check that they have a valid account on QMplus, if they do not, please raise a ticket with HelpDesk so that an account can be created for them.

However, if they do have an account then check the enrolled users list to ensure they are not already enrolled on the course. If they are not currently enrolled on the course, then search and enrol them using either their full name or email.
